Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 51-year-old Antwan Diggs of Buffalo has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to a determinate sentence of 2 years in prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision. He will be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.

Diggs pleaded guilty to one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class “D” violent felony, on February 20, 2020.

An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim, which remains in effect until September 30, 2040.

DA Flynn commends Detective Mark Costantino of the Buffalo Police Department Special Victims Unit for his work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
