Former UB Student Pleads Guilty for Hit-and-Run on North Campus that Injured Another Student

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 20-year-old Hannah Christensen of Clifton Park, NY pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice Christopher J. Burns to one count of Leaving the Scene of an Incident Without Reporting, a Class “A” misdemeanor.

The defendant admitted that on the night of November 1, 2018, she was driving on Hadley Road on the North Campus of the University of Buffalo when she hit a female student with her vehicle. The defendant left the scene and never reported the incident.

The victim, who is a UB student, was walking in a marked crosswalk at the time of the crash. The student was admitted to ECMC for several weeks for the injuries she suffered.

Christensen faces a maximum of one year in jail when she is sentenced on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. The defendant remains released on her own recognizance.

DA Flynn commends Investigators Wayne Colton and Daniel Jay of the UB Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Paul J. Glascott of the Vehicular Crimes Bureau.
