Gowanda Man Pleads Guilty to Sex Crime Involving a Child

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 39-year-old Kyle Spruce of Gowanda pleaded guilty virtually before State Supreme Court Justice Paul B. Wojtaszek to one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, a Class “B” felony.

The defendant admitted that he engaged in two or more acts of sexual conduct with a child victim at a location in the southern portion of Erie County between August 2018 and May 2019.

 Spruce faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Monday, October 5, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. He remains held without bail.

A no-contact order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.

DA Flynn commends Investigators Richard Noecker and Amy Kirschman of the New York State Police for their work in the investigation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bethany A. Solek of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
