Hamburg Man Sentenced for Raping an Underage Victim

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 23-year-old Eric Clark of Hamburg has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to a determinate sentence of 2 years in prison followed by 10 years of post-release supervision. 

On October 31, 2017, the defendant, being 18 years old or more, engaged in sexual intercourse with a juvenile female who was less than 15 years old at a location in the Town of West Seneca.

Clark pleaded guilty one count of Rape in the Second Degree, a Class “D” felony, on July 9, 2019.

DA Flynn commends Detective Lieutenant William Leitzel and Detective James Kocienewski of the West Seneca Police Department for their work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Katharine S. Lavin of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
