Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 49-year-old Timothy Bean of Hamburg pleaded guilty to fourteen counts of Official Misconduct, a Class “A” misdemeanor.

From November 16, 2018 through December 14, 2018, the defendant admitted to filing false food safety reports while working as a Public Health Sanitarian for the Erie County Department of Health.

Bean faces a maximum of 2 years in jail when he is sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case on August 22 at 9:30a.m. 

DA Flynn commends Detective Dan Brinkerhoff of the Erie County Sheriff’s Office for his work on this case.

The case was prosecuted by Chief Candace Vogel of the DA’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau.
