Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn, Jr. announces that 38-year-old Peter Isaacs of Buffalo has been arraigned before State Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia on an indictment charging him with Murder in the Second Degree in the death of a homeless man. 

It is alleged that on October 23, 2017, inside a vacant home at 168 West Avenue in Buffalo, the defendant strangled 46-year-old Preston German of Buffalo following an argument. 

The defendant pleaded not guilty and was remanded to jail without bail. 

If convicted of the charge, Isaacs faces 25 years to life in prison. 

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of the Buffalo Police Department Homicide Squad, including Detectives Scott Malec, Mark White, Terrence Supples and Christopher Sterlace. 

Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge III of the DA’s Homicide Bureau is prosecuting the case.
