Jury Finds Buffalo Man Guilty for Fatal Shooting on I-190

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that a jury has found 22-year-old Juan Colon of Buffalo guilty of one count of Manslaughter in the First Degree.

On July 9, 2018, at approximately 6 p.m., the defendant fatally shot 26-year-old Angel Marcial Jr. of Buffalo as he was driving on the I-190 North near the Niagara Street exit in the City of Buffalo.

Colon faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Susan M. Eagan on April 16 at 9:30 a.m. He remains remanded without bail.

DA Flynn commends the New York State Police for their work in this investigation, including Investigators John McCusker and Chris Weber.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge, III, of the DA’s Homicide Bureau and Danielle N. D’Abate, Chief of the DA’s Community Prosecution Bureau.
