Lancaster Man Admits to Engaging in Sexual Conduct with a Child Victim

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 39-year-old Shannon Vickers of Lancaster pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, a Class “B” violent felony.

The defendant admitted to engaging in sexual conduct with a juvenile female victim on multiple occasions between December 2017 through June 2018 at a location in the Town of Lancaster.

Vickers faces a maximum of 25 years in prison when he is sentenced on Friday, May 31, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. He remains remanded without bail.

DA Flynn commends Detective Richard Kotlak of the Town of Lancaster Police Department for his work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Meghan E. Leydecker of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
