Lancaster Man Sentenced for Possession of Child Porn

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 26-year-old Alexander Grupp of Lancaster has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio to 4 months of intermittent incarceration and 10 years of sex offender probation. 

On March 30, 2017, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence on Stone Hedge Drive in the Town of Lancaster. Several items were seized from the home. During analysis of the items, investigators found numerous images of child pornography on two devices owned by the defendant.

Grupp pleaded guilty to one count of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a Class “E” felony, and one count of Possessing an Obscene Sexual Performance by a Child, a Class “E” felony, last May.

He will be required to register as a Level 2 sex offender.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Investigator Ronald Wilson of the New York State Police.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Bethany A. Solek of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
