Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 40-year-old Shannon Vickers of Lancaster has been sentenced by State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to a determinate sentence of 20 years in prison followed by 20 years of post-release supervision. He will be required to register as a sex offender.

The defendant admitted to engaging in sexual conduct with a juvenile female victim on multiple occasions between December 2016 through June 2018 at a location in the Town of Lancaster.

Vickers pleaded guilty before State Supreme Court Justice M. William Boller to one count of Course of Sexual Conduct Against a Child in the First Degree, a Class “B” violent felony, in April 2019.

DA Flynn commends Detective Richard Kotlak of the Town of Lancaster Police Department for his work in the investigation.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Meghan E. Leydecker of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau.
