Teen Arraigned for Killing Two and Injuring Another in Shooting Inside Town of Tonawanda Apartment

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 18-year-old Jamire Woods of Buffalo was arraigned on Friday afternoon before Tonawanda Town Court Justice J. Mark Gruber on the following charges:

  • Two counts of Murder in the Second Degree (Class “A-I” felonies)
  • One count of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree (Class “B” violent felony)
  • One count of Criminal Use of a Firearm in the First Degree (Class “B” violent felony)
  • One count of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree (Class “C” violent felony)

It is alleged that on Sunday, August 38, 2022, at approximately 9:40 p.m., the defendant, with the intent to cause the deaths of the victims, fired multiple shots with an illegal gun. The crime occurred inside of an apartment on the 700 block of Parker Boulevard in the Town of Tonawanda. Three people were hit by gunfire. Two of the victims, Antoyn Williams, 51, of Buffalo and Kristina Perez, 36, of Hinsdale, were pronounced dead at the scene. The third victim, a 56-year-old male, was taken to ECMC, where he remains hospitalized with injuries.  

Woods is scheduled to return on Thursday, September 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. for a felony hearing. He was held without bail.  

If convicted of all charges, Woods faces a maximum sentence of 50 years to life in prison.  

DA Flynn commends the Town of Tonawanda Police Department for their work in this investigation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Eugene T. Partridge, III of the Homicide Unit.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
