Three People Charged for Attack on Couple Outside Allentown Restaurant

Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that the following defendants were arraigned on Monday, June 17, 2019 before Buffalo City Court Judge Diane Wray on one count of Gang Assault in the Second Degree, a Class “C” felony, one count of Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the Second Degree, a Class “A” misdemeanor, and one count of Trespass, a violation.:

  • 27-year-old Tarrice Greer of Buffalo
  • 26-year-old Stephon McCann of Buffalo
  • 26-year-old  Deante Peoples of Buffalo

It is alleged that on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at approximately 5:00 a.m., a couple was leaving Jim’s Steakout on Allen Street and Elmwood Avenue in the City of Buffalo when they were involved in a physical altercation with the three defendants.

Both victims were taken to ECMC to be treated for their injuries and released. The female victim suffered a broken nose and the male victim suffered a broken arm.

All three defendants are scheduled to return on Friday, June 21, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. for a felony hearing.

DA Flynn commends Officers Virgilio Gonzalez and Alexander Quincy as well as Lieutenant Todd McAllister from the Buffalo Police Department for their work in this investigation.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Alicia M. Lilley of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
