Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 26-year-old Sean Vungaro of Tonawanda has been arraigned before Buffalo City Court Judge Betty Calvo-Torres on one count of Making a Terroristic Threat, a “D” Felony.

It is alleged that on February 9, 2019, the defendant called in a bomb threat to Erie County Central Police Services at the Erie County Public Safety Campus in downtown Buffalo.

The defendant was held on bail of $10,000 cash or property. He is scheduled to return on Thursday, March 7 at 9:30 a.m. for a felony hearing.

If convicted on all charges, Vungaro faces up to 7 years in prison.

Assistant District Attorney Matthew S. Szalkowski of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau is prosecuting the case.

As are all persons accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
