Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 36-year-old Warren Meredith of the Town of Tonawanda has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Sheila A. DiTullio to a prison term of 25 years along with 5 years post-release supervision.

On the evening of June 4, 2017, the defendant shot a man multiple times on Rose Street in the City’s Fruit Belt neighborhood. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to his chest, neck, forearm and upper leg, but survived.

In January 2018, a jury convicted Meredith of Attempted Murder in the Second Degree, Assault in the First Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree.

DA Flynn commends Buffalo Police Homicide detectives for their thorough investigation.

Assistant District Attorneys Lauren Nash and James Marra of the DA’s Felony Trials Bureau prosecuted the case.
