Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces that 61-year-old Craig Hicks of West Seneca has been sentenced by Erie County Court Judge Kenneth F. Case to a three year conditional discharge in which he has to perform 250 hours of community service.

In June, Hicks pleaded guilty to one count of Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree and one count of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree.

Between February of 2014 and April of 2015, while serving as treasurer of the Carriager’s Social Club in West Seneca, Hicks stole $12,500 from the club’s operating account and cash fundraisers.

Hicks has made full restitution.

DA Flynn credits the investigative work of the West Seneca Police Department, including Detective Ken Morano and Confidential Criminal Investigator Michael P. Nigrelli from his office.

Assistant District Attorney Christopher P. Jurusik from the DA’s Special Investigations and Prosecutions Bureau prosecuted the case.
