Erie County District Attorney John J. Flynn announces 39-year-old John Negrych of Williamsville pleaded guilty before Erie County Court Judge Kenneth Case to one count of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree, a Class “D” violent felony.

The defendant admitted to subjecting a juvenile female to sexual contact by forcible compulsion in the Town of Amherst in early 2018.

Negrych faces a maximum of seven years in prison when he is sentenced on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.

DA Flynn commends the investigative work of Detective Mark Pitirri of the Amherst Police Department.

Assistant District Attorney Katharine S. Lavin of the DA’s Special Victims Bureau is prosecuting the case.
