Erie County District Attorney Frank A. Sedita, III announced that 40 year- old William K. Ball of 7277 Chestnut Ridge, Lockport, will be arraigned at 2:00 this afternoon before Supreme Court Justice Russell P. Buscaglia on an indictment charging him with Feloniously Driving While Intoxicated.

The following is alleged: on November 17, 2013, Ball was thrown out Mademoiselle’s Strip Club in the Town Cheektowaga; Cheektowaga police officers responded and found Ball to be in an intoxicated condition; the police permitted Ball to take a taxi cab home; Ball surreptitiously returned to Mademoiselle’s a short time later and retrieved his vehicle, a 2005Hummer; Ball drove the Hummer down Transit Road while in an intoxicated condition; and, Ball was pulled over by Cheektowaga police officers for drunk driving. As alleged in the Special Information, Ball was convicted of Driving While Intoxicated in 2009.

If convicted of these crimes Ball faces a maximum sentence of 1-1/3 – 4 years in jail.   

Like all defendants accused of a crime, the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
