Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon and the Department of Senior Services will host a Medicare presentation at the Hamburg Senior Center to provide an overview of Medicare and to discuss how it will be affected by the Affordable Care Act.

“After talking with several seniors who are concerned about changes to Medicare, I realized this presentation was needed in our community to help residents fully understand the different parts of Medicare, as well as outline changes expected to occur through the President’s health care plan. During the presentation general information will be shared, after which residents will be able to ask any specific questions they may have. Understanding Medicare and the Affordable Care Act is extremely important and residents need to be aware of how changes will affect them. I encourage anyone with a question or concern to attend,” said Legislator Dixon.

The meeting will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, Aug. 8 at the Hamburg Senior Center, 4150 Sowles Road, Hamburg.
