For the 9th consecutive year, Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon is teaming up with Urban Valet Cleaners to collect gently used prom dresses for girls in need. Donated dresses are cleaned by Urban Valet Cleaners free of charge before they are available during two shopping days.
“I am so happy to be sponsoring the drive for another year,” said Legislator Dixon. “Prom continues to get more expensive and no one should miss out on it because they are unable to afford a dress. By collecting hundreds of gowns, we give every girl the chance to find the dress of her dreams.”
“We couldn't be more pleased to partner with Legislator Dixon and her team again this year,” said President of Urban Valet Cleaners Eric Pyne. “We've received numerous emails and phone calls inquiring about the event already, so at this point the community anticipates it happening each year. We're looking forward to seeing a whole new group of smiling faces!"
Dresses are being collected now through April 3rd and can be dropped off at any of the following locations:
• Blasdell Village Hall
• Boston Free Library
