Thanks to Legislator Lynne Dixon’s annual prom dress drive, dozens of high school girls got to “say yes to the dress” last weekend during two free shopping days.

Hundreds of gowns were donated this year and each one was cleaned by Urban Valet Cleaners free of charge. In addition to dresses, girls were able to choose from shoes, jewelry and accessories to complete their look for prom.

“I’d like to thank everyone who helped make this year’s prom dress drive another success,” said Legislator Lynne Dixon. “Because of each generous donation, many young ladies were able to find the perfect dress. It is always a pleasure teaming up with Urban Valet Cleaners for this event to help make prom more affordable for girls and their families.”

"We were happy to be a part of this wonderful event for our 9th year,” said Urban Valet Cleaners’ Business Development Manager Kirk Lorkowski. “So many young ladies enjoyed their shopping days finding the perfect gown and accessories. Thank you to all the volunteers with Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon, it couldn't happen without you!  We can't wait to see what year 10 will bring."
