Legislator Dixon secures funding for Access WNY

Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon is pleased to announce that the Legislature has supported her request for funding for Access WNY in the 2016 Erie County budget. The Legislature approved $2,500 at today’s annual Budget Meeting to support Access WNY’s efforts to promote understanding and strengthen the bonds between members of the Arab American community and people of other nationalities and cultures.

Legislator Dixon allocates additional funding for Botanical Gardens

Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon is pleased to announce that the Legislature has supported a request to fund the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens an additional $10,000 in the 2016 Erie County budget. The Legislature approved the funding at today’s annual Budget Meeting, bringing the county’s total investment for next year to $62,026.

Legislator Dixon announces additional funding for Town of Hamburg Youth Bureau

Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon is pleased to announce that the Legislature has supported her request for additional funding for Town of Hamburg’s Youth Bureau in the 2016 Erie County budget. The Legislature approved an additional $5,000 at today’s annual Budget Meeting.

Legislator Dixon names Denise and Randy Fenton, owners of Main Street Ice Cream, as Citizens of the Month

Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon is excited to announce that Hamburg residents Denise and Randy Fenton have been named the Erie County Legislature’s Citizens of the Month for October 2015. Owners of Main Street Ice Cream in the Village of Hamburg, the Fentons are constantly giving back to the community in unique ways, helping many organizations.

Legislator Dixon urges County Executive to prioritize District 9 road work

As the end of construction season nears, Erie County Legislator Lynne Dixon is disappointed that many roads will once again go into the winter without having been repaired by the County’s Department of Public Works. With additional funds allocated back in April, Legislator Dixon consistently advocated to the administration that a portion of those funds be used for problem areas in Hamburg and Blasdell. Specifically, she pushed the administration to extend the Lake Avenue road work into Blasdell.
