Erie County Office For People with Disabilities is a proud member of the Erie County Anti-Stigma Coalition, a group committed to ending the stigma of mental illness in our community

One in five Americans lives with a mental health condition, yet only 40% of people seek professional help. Stigma can be a barrier to those with mental illnesses seeking and receiving treatment that could help them live happier and healthier lives.

Join the Conversation is the public awareness campaign educating the public about mental illness and encouraging people to share their struggles and successes. Through traditional and social media, Join the Conversation is sharing stories, struggles and successes to encourage everyone to find their voice.
