Starting Annual Salary: $30,549
*Please note that this position is a competitive civil service title and will require a civil service examination in the future. After the exam, selection for permanent appointment(s) will be made from reachable candidate(s) on the eligible list according to the NYS Civil Service Rule of Three.
The work involves responsibility for receiving telephone calls from citizen requesting transportation escort services and health services; requests are relayed to mobile units or proper authorities. Work is performed under the supervision of a higher-ranking employee. Supervision is not a responsibility of this position. Does related work as required.
A.) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and ; or:
B.) Completion of elementary school and four (4) years of experience as indicated in (a); or:
C.) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
Eligibility for New York State driver’s license required at time of application. Possession of the license at the time of appointment. Since these positions require substantial travel, candidates must demonstrate their ability to meet the transportation needs of the job in carrying out their responsibility in any location to which travel is required, including some locations not accessible by public transportation.
NOTE: Verifiable part-time and/or volunteer experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
