Senior Construction Project Manager - Buildings
Senior Construction Project Manager-Buildings: The work involves coordinating the research, design, planning and inspection of building construction and reconstruction projects. This is a responsible professional position requiring the application of engineering and architectural knowledge to the management of building projects. Work is performed under the general supervision of a higher ranking engineering or architecture employee and supervision is exercised over other construction project managers and a small number of technical and clerical personnel.
A) Graduation from a regionally or New York State registered college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or architecture supplemented by eight (8) years of engineering or architectural experience of which three (3) years must have included supervision of design, inspection or construction of large scale building projects; or:
B) Twelve (12) years of engineering or architectural experience of which five (5) years must have included supervision of design, inspection, or construction of large scale building projects; or:
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A), and (B).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Eligible for a New York State professional engineer’s or architect’s license at the time of application for examination and possession of the license at the time of appointment.
