We’re happy to report that chiefs and training officers can now submit your Training Course Request form online at: http://www2.erie.gov/fire/index.php?q=content/erie-county-fire-safetytraining-course-request-form

Submitting our new online form, you will receive a copy of the submitted training course request to the email you provide. As an option, you can even have a copy sent to another chief or training officer in your department.

The auto-generated email(s) serves as a confirmation that we have received your request and that we will add it to the list of open course requests on file. Furthermore, it serves as the start of the paper trail that will follow as instructors are assigned to your course request, dates established and a schedule confirmed or declined.

We are no longer accepting course requests for State courses to start during the remainder of 2016 - but you can start to submit your 2017 calendar year training course requests at any time. Before submitting, we encourage you to collaborate with the other chiefs/training officers under your fire control or area chiefs organization to plan regional training, share in course hosting responsibilities and to minimize duplication of similar course requests.

The initial Fall Training Schedule will be released later today with more than a dozen new course announcements and more to come.

Please don’t hesitate to contact our office should you have any questions or require further information. We look forward to your feedback regarding this new tool.
