As a first step in trying to promote the work we've been doing around the soil safety standards, 5 Loaves Farm is hosting our Celebrating Soil Event Saturday, May 11 at our farmhouse to engage the public with safe soil practices. We have speakers from 2-4pm from Cornell Cooperative Extension and Farmer Pirates Compost Crew, then from 4-6pm a hands-on soil building workshop on the farm, followed by a dinner from 6-7pm.
