Club allocated $5,000 to enhance future programming

 

Lackawanna, NY – Erie County Legislator John Gilmour has introduced a resolution to provide an additional $1,500 investment from Erie County to the Yemen Soccer Club in Lackawanna. The resolution is expected to be approved at the Legislature’s session on July 23, 2020.  Upon its passage, the club will now receive a total of $5,000 from Erie County in 2020.

 

Erie County Legislator John Gilmour who represents Lackawanna, said, “There is not a better investment we can make in our communities than one which benefits the health and wellness of the young people who live here.  Since 1975, the Lackawanna Yemen Soccer Club has been a tremendous asset to the youth of this area, and I’m happy to be able to assist them in their efforts to serve and spread the love of the most popular sport in the world.”
