Chairperson Grant Announces Civil Service Examination Application Deadline

                Erie County Legislature Chairperson Betty Jean Grant (D-Buffalo) is announcing that several competitive examinations for Civil Service positions are being offered by the Erie County Department of Personnel.

                The three open competitive titles with upcoming exams are: court clerk in the Town of Grand Island, with a salary of $35,000; nursing staffing office clerk at the Erie County Medical Center, with a salary range of $25,083-$30,930, and police clerk in the Village of East Aurora, with a pay rate of $18 per hour.

                There are also three promotional Civil Service examinations listed by the Department of Personnel:  captain, Erie County Sheriff’s Office, with a salary range of $56,826-$67,858; lieutenant, Erie County Sheriff’s Office, with a salary range of $52,331-$62,541; lieutenant, second line supervisor, Cheektowaga Police Department, with a salary of $78,427.
