City/County Safe Neighborhoods Initiative Sets Second Meeting March 4

OFFICE HIGHLIGHTS

The public is invited to the second meeting of the Buffalo/Erie County Safe Neighborhoods Initiative, an ad-hoc committee of the Erie County Legislature, at 2 p.m. Monday, March 4, in the County Legislature Chambers on the Fourth Floor of Old County Hall, 92 Franklin Street, Buffalo

The 21-member volunteer board was formed after Erie County Legislature Chairperson Betty Jean Grant (D-Buffalo) organized an anti-violence rally following a tragic shooting in her district last December. At the rally, she announced the formation of this panel of community stakeholders who will discuss practical solutions for creating safer neighborhoods in high-crime areas of Western New York.

The Buffalo/Erie County Safe Neighborhoods Initiative meets at 2 p.m. on the first Monday of the month. For more information, please visit www.erie.gov/legislature or call 858-7500.
