Erie County Legislator Kevin Hardwick announces that a free guided walk at Isleview Park in Tonawanda will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013. The walk is part of the “Be Active Erie County!” series to promote an active and healthy lifestyle. 

 

Registration begins at 9 a.m. at the gazebo, 796 Niagara St., Tonawanda.

 

“Located along the Niagara River, Isleview Park is picturesque and great for hiking, fishing, inline skating and other activities. This guided walk will take visitors through the park to see all that is has to offer,” said Legislator Hardwick.

 

The series continues with additional walks on the following days:

 

At these walks attendees will be able to learn more about how to get healthy and stay healthy, and receive health screenings targeting blood pressure and body mass index (BMI). Assorted health education materials, and smoking cessation services and products will also be available at each walk.
