Wellness Screenings at Buffalo Auto Show
Department of Health to Offer Flu Shots & Health Screenings
ERIE COUNTY, NY— Erie County residents attending the annual Buffalo Auto Show (February 6 – 9, 2014 at the Buffalo Niagara Convention Center) are encouraged to take advantage of the healthcare information and services available at no charge at the Show’s “Wellness Lane”.
“This is a convenient and easy way for attendees to take a few moments to review several important health markers” states Dr. Gale Burstein, Erie County Commissioner of Health (“ECDOH”). “Our Community Wellness staff will offer free blood pressure checks, calculate an individual’s body mass/body fat index and provide information on stopping smoking and how to live with chronic diseases.”
The Community Wellness staff will be available each day from 11 am until closing.
In addition, the ECDOH’s Immunization Action Plan team will provide flu shots from 12 – 4 pm Thursday, February 6 through to and including Sunday, February 9.
