Local Laws - 1988


Local Law No. 1

            Fixed procedures of salary increases for county officers and employees.  Allows for a one year period from the date of submission to either adopt, modify, or reject recommendations of the Citizen’s Salary Review Commission.  Amends section 202.3 (e) to allow the legislature to establish the effective date of any adjustments. 

Local Law No. 2

            Requires the commissioner of mental health to meet state standards. 

Local Law No. 3

            Sets forth powers and duties of the commissioner of finance, the comptroller, and the county executive.

Local Law No. 4

            Establishes the Erie County Community Coordinating Council on Children and Families.

Local Law No. 5

            Prohibits the consumption of alcoholic beverages in Como Park during the months of September through June, with regulations set for the remaining months as to where and whom consumption may take place. 

Local Law No. 6

            Changes the title of the Division of Environmental Control to the Division of Environment Compliance.  Changed the qualifications for the Environmental Compliance deputy commissioner and expanded the scope of services of said division.

Local Law No. 7

            Amends section 3 of Article XVI-E in relation to the membership of the Erie County Commission on the Status of Women.

Local Law No. 8

            Amends both the county charter and administrative code in relation to the duties of the Commissioner of Finance, the comptroller, and the county executive.

Local Law No. 9

            Provides powers and duties of the Erie County Medical Center’s Board of Managers, chief executive officer, and treasurer.
