Local Laws - 2000


Local Law No. 1

            Amends local law 2-1999, granting a partial exemption from real property taxation, pursuant to section 459-c of the real property tax laws, to persons with disabilities who have limited incomes.

Local Law No. 2

            Authorizes the creation of a local development corporation and the sale by Erie County to such corporation of the county’s rights to receive payments under the master settlement agreement with various tobacco companies and the related consent decree and final judgement.

Local Law No. 3

            Amends Local law 2-2000 and authorizes the creation by Erie County of a local development corporation and the sale by the county to such corporation of the county’s rights to receive payments under the master settlement agreement with various tobacco companies and the related consent decree and final judgement.

Local Law No. 4

            Electing a retirement incentive program pursuant to chapter 86 of the laws of 2000.

Local Law No. 5

            Amends the county charter and administrative code with respect to the consolidation of the Erie County Holding Center and Erie County Correctional Facility.

Local Law No. 6

            Support for Buffalo and Erie County Public Library.

 

Local Law No. 7

            Amends local law 4-1999 in relation to the imposition of a tax deeds in Erie County.

Local Law No. 8

            Extends the original open period for the retirement incentive program pursuant to chapter 86 of the laws of 2000. 

Local Law No. 9

            Prohibits the body piercing of minors without the written informed consent of one parent or legal guardian.
