Instructions for Submitting Maps to the
Erie County Advisory Committee on Reapportionment

 When submitting your maps to the Advisory Committee on Reapportionment please include the following details so that the Committee members can easily compare your map to other maps submitted:

 On a spreadsheet please list:

 The municipalities included in each district and the corresponding municipal populations

 The total population for each district

 The district with the highest population

 The district with the lowest population

 The percentage deviation between highest population and lowest population

 A list of each municipality that is to be divided between two or more districts

 Race/Ethnic population percentages for each district in the following categories (from Census Bureau data):  White, Black or African American, American Indian and Alaska Native, Asian, Native Hawaiian and other Pacific Islander, Hispanic or Latino.

 Please include a short descriptive narrative on the process and philosophy that you or your group focused on in creating the map you are proposing.  For example, was it the intention of the map to keep certain municipalities or communities of interest within a district or districts or to keep the population of the districts within a certain population deviant range? etc. 

 You can submit your maps one of the following ways:

 1) at a Public Hearing by handing them to a designated staff member

2) electronically by emailing to the Clerk of the Legislature – graberr@erie.gov

3) mail or drop off you maps to the Clerk:
