Erie County Legislator Joseph C. Lorigo reminds cultural organizations that the deadline to apply for 2013 county funding is Friday, July 6. The funding supports the efforts of theater, art, dance, musical and other cultural organizations to continue to provide entertainment, informational exhibits and performances, while supporting a wide variety of tourism in Erie County.
“The county has dedicated funding to support cultural organizations, which have a positive impact on our region and attract patrons that also support local restaurants, shops and other events. To ensure that county funds are being applied appropriately and efficiently, a process has been put in place to review the applications,” Legislator Lorigo said. “This is an opportunity for all cultural organizations to appeal to the county, especially those groups that may not have known about the funding opportunity or haven’t applied in the past.”
