Legislator Lorigo announces funding for local Boys and Girls Clubs

Erie County Legislator Joseph C. Lorigo announces that the Boys and Girls Clubs of East Aurora and Holland have received 2015 Summer Primetime funding to support seasonal programming.

 

The funding was included in a $419,581 package that was approved unanimously by the Legislature at its May 14, 2015 session. The Boys and Girls Club of East Aurora received $10,000 and the Boys and Girls Club of Holland received $7,500 for summer camp activities and other programming. 

 

“The Boys and Girls Clubs serving the greater East Aurora and Holland communities provide outstanding programming for local families and I am pleased to once again grant them Primetime Funding. The directors and staff are truly dedicated to ensuring that our youth are engaged, active and safe during the summer months. It is great to see how efficiently the funding is utilized to benefit as many young people as possible. The Primetime Funding program has proven to be an excellent partnership and investment,” said Legislator Lorigo.

 

Legislator Lorigo also noted the approval of funding for organizations that benefit the entire county, including Be-A-Friend - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County; Girl Scouts of WNY; YMCA Buffalo/Niagara and several more. A total of 56 organizations received funding.

 

Determination of Summer Primetime funding is coordinated through the Department of Social Services and the final proposal is requested by the County Executive’s Office. For a complete list of organizations receiving funding, please CLICK HERE
