Legislator Lorigo to host satellite hours at West Seneca Senior Center

Erie County Legislator Joseph C. Lorigo announces a district outreach meeting will be held at the West Seneca Senior Center to discuss county services, distribute Yellow Dot packets and to discuss any questions or concerns residents may have.

The district outreach meeting is scheduled from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30 at the West Seneca Senior Center, 4620 Seneca St., West Seneca. Residents are welcome to stop by any time during the event with questions.

“I have talked with many residents who are not aware of the numerous services and programs available to them through the county. At district outreach meetings I am able to meet directly with residents to discuss specifically how they may benefit from the programs offered by various departments, including senior services, veteran affairs and social services. This is also a good opportunity for residents to bring forward any questions or concerns they may have so we can discuss them one-on-one,” said Legislator Lorigo.

During the event Legislator Lorigo will be distributing free Yellow Dot packets. Provided by the New York State Sheriffs’ Association, the packets assist first responders at the scene of a vehicle accident or emergency in the residence by alerting responders to existing medical concerns related to the patient. A yellow sticker, included in the packet, is placed on the vehicle or residence, which directs responders to the glove compartment or door of the refrigerator to check the Yellow Dot form, which contains pertinent medical conditions, current medications and contact information.

Information about Senior Services, Social Services, Veteran Affairs, the County Clerk’s office and other County departments will be available. Notary services are also offered, free of charge.
