During a special presentation held at the Marilla Library recently, Legislator Joseph C. Lorigo congratulated the library on taking first place at the 2012 Battle of the Books. Library Director Shannon Jakubowski, team members and coaches accepted certificates marking this outstanding achievement.

“Congratulations to everyone involved in this great win. Battle of the Books is extremely challenging and competitive and taking first place among the more than 30 teams is an impressive accomplishment,” said Legislator Lorigo.

This year’s Battle of the Books was held Saturday, Aug. 4 at Erie Community College’s South Campus.
