Majority Leader Lorigo announces Bullis Road Bridge reopened

Erie County Legislature Majority Leader Joseph Lorigo announces that Bullis Road Bridge reopened on July 21, 2017, completing a $1.3 million project.

“I want to thank everyone who was extremely patient while this major bridge in Elma was closed for repairs. I know it was frustrating and inconvenient, especially when the project ran longer than first expected. The weather hasn’t been in our favor this season, but I am glad that the bridge is finally open to traffic. I want to thank the County DPW and contractor for their work to rehabilitate Bullis Road Bridge to ensure it is safe for all to use,” said Majority Leader Lorigo.

Majority Leader Lorigo noted that the County has been working to repair and replace major bridges in his district, including Jamison and Girdle that were fixed last year. Porterville Road Ridge in Marilla is also being rehabilitated with work expected to finish the beginning of September.

Crews are continuing to work on Maple Road in East Aurora, doing a reconstruction of this major thoroughfare and work on Route 240 in Colden is starting on July 24.
