Last week, the Erie County Legislature approved a $6.75 million contract to begin rehabilitation work on East and West Road in West Seneca. The contract was awarded to Concrete Applied Technologies as the lowest responsible bidder.

Work is expected to begin in early July and will take place from Orchard Park Road (Route 240) to Leydecker Road. Legislator Lorigo has regularly spoken with residents regarding the road’s condition and has been advocating for repairs since 2012.

Legislator Lorigo said, “I am relieved East and West Road will finally be repaired. The road is in terrible shape and my office has regularly contacted the administration to push for these badly-needed public safety improvements. I’d like to thank each of the residents who have reached out to share their concerns. I look forward to work getting underway and I am hopeful this project will result in a smoother, safer ride.”
