Erie County Legislator Lynn M. Marinelli (D-Buffalo, Tonawanda) is urging adult women to apply for the 2013 Niagara Frontier Chapter, New York State Women, Inc. Scholarship.
To be eligible for the scholarship, women living in Erie and Niagara counties must be attending college or returning to college seeking undergraduate or graduate degrees for career advancement. Applicants must demonstrate need for financial assistance and show proof of acceptance by an accredited college or school.
Women applying must accompany their application with a maximum 150-word essay stating their future goals as outlined in the application, a transcript of school records and submit two reference forms supplied to the Scholarship Chair postmarked no later than Tuesday, April 16, 2013. Applicants should be prepared for a personal interview with the Scholarship Committee, and the scholarship is to pay for tuition only.
