Legislator Mazur Joins CE Poloncarz Announcing Prescription Drug Drop Off

            Erie County Legislature Majority Leader Thomas J. Mazur (D-Buffalo, Cheektowaga) is joining County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz announcing that the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning, the federal Drug Enforcement Administration and several other groups will collect unwanted and expired prescription drugs at several locations from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 27.

Legislator Mazur Helps Welcome New Polar Bear Cub Luna to Buffalo Zoo

            Erie County Legislature Majority Leader Thomas J. Mazur (D-Buffalo, Cheektowaga) greets the new polar bear cub, nicknamed Luna, at the Buffalo Zoo before attending the Community Enrichment Committee meeting recently held at the zoo. The Buffalo Zoo is holding a contest to name the new polar bear cub on its Facebook page.

Legislature Majority Leader Mazur to Sponsor Income TAXi February 25

            Erie County Legislature Majority Leader Thomas J. Mazur (D-Buffalo, Cheektowaga) will sponsor the Income TAXi, a free tax preparation service offered through Daemen College, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday, February 25, at the Sloan Village Hall, 425 Reiman Street, Sloan.

Majority Leader Mazur joins CE Poloncarz in Bills Lease Announcement

                Members of the Erie County Legislature Democratic Majority were pleased to join County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz, New York State Lieutenant Governor Robert J. Duffy and Buffalo Bills CEO Russell Brandon in announcing the new 10-year memorandum of agreement for the Bills to lease Ralph Wilson Stadium Friday.

County Legislature Committee Accepts Domestic Violence Grant, Expands Services

                The Erie County Legislature Health and Human Services Committee unanimously authorized the Department of Social Services to enter or amend contracts to expand non-residential services to domestic violence victims at its September 24 meeting.
