Erie County Legislator Terrence D. McCracken (D-Depew, Lancaster, South Cheektowaga, Alden) is announcing that Erie County Department of Public Works crews will conduct curb repair work on Borden Road in Depew and Cheektowaga through late September.
The portion of Borden Road affected runs between Broadway in Depew to Rowley Road in Cheektowaga, and the project will entail repairs to curbs, sidewalks and the bridge over Cayuga Creek. The traffic restrictions (no closures) pertain to construction equipment located on the roadway during the project, which will run from now through September 28, according to Division of Highway officials.
“I would advise Depew, Cheektowaga and Lancaster residents who regularly drive motor vehicles and ride their bicycles in this area, and pedestrians who walk and jog here, to use caution when using this stretch of Borden Road,” Legislator McCracken said. “I apologize on behalf of Erie County for any inconveniences this project may cause, but I am also pleased that this important and badly needed improvement to roads and a bridge in the Eighth District is being conducted.”
