Many students are watching a new Netflix series called "13 Reasons Why". This series is about teen suicide. It is very graphic, suggestive and sensationalizes the suicide of a teenage girl. Research shows that the risk of suicide increases among vulnerable persons when they are exposed to such content. Attached is a Talking Tips sheet to help you discuss the series with your child. Please reach out to the school counseling staff for additional support.
