Erie County, NY – County Executive Mark C. Poloncarz announced a slate of county public works projects that are planned for 2019 on Monday, March 25, 2019. This year, Erie County will spend over $40 million to maintain and repair county roads along with bridges and other structures that the county owns including accompanying curbing and drainage. The work will be completed by the Erie County Department of Public Works and is scheduled to begin as soon as the weather allows.
Erie County Legislator Tim Meyers is proud to announce the following projects in the town of Cheektowaga:
- Cleveland Drive, from the NYS Thruway to the City of Buffalo line
- Dingens Street, from the City of Buffalo to Harlem Rd
The Cleveland Drive project is anticipated to cost $1.2 million and include drainage repairs. The ¾ mile stretch of Dingens will cost just over $1 million. Both are complete mill and overlay projects that will be completed by the Erie County Department of Public Works.
Legislator Meyers said, “The County Executive really prioritized our extensive road network in Erie County, and I am grateful to have such a partner in county government. I have great confidence in our Department of Public Works and know these improvements will be highly beneficial to the town of Cheektowaga and all Erie County residents traveling these roadways.”
