Erie County, NY – At the June 18, 2020 legislative session, the Erie County Legislature unanimously approved a resolution authorizing multiple reconstruction and mill-and-overlay road repaving projects in the district of Erie County Legislator Timothy Meyers.

Included in the County’s 2020 road work in his legislative district are the following projects:

• All 4 lanes of William Street from the city of Buffalo line to the Thruway will be reconstructed this year.
• George Urban Boulevard from Genesee to Harlem will be repaved.
• Pine Ridge Road from Walden to Maryvale will be repaved.

Legislator Meyers, who represents Cheektowaga said: “I know these infrastructure projects are important to the people of Cheektowaga, and I am happy to continue to deliver more road work and improvements to the district. Good fiscal planning is what makes these repairs possible even in tough years. I want to thank the Erie County Department of Public Works for their hard work and dedication during this difficult time.”

The projects are expected to cost over $2.3 million to complete and will include roughly 4 miles of Cheektowaga roadway. Additional information or updates can be obtained from the Department of Public Works at www.erie.gov/dpw.
