Legislator Miller-Williams attends the 47th Annual NYSABPRL Conference

Legislator Barbara Miller-Williams was honored to be able to greet her sisters of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated North Atlantic Region AKA Day at the Capitol in partnership with the Great Lakes Region-Western New York Chapter. The meet up occured at the 47th Annual NYSABPRL (New York State Association of Black and Puerto Rican Legislators) Conference the weekend of February 16-18, 2018 in Albany, NY.

Mayor Byron W. Brown Honors Legislator Miller-Williams at Black History Month Program

On Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at the City of Buffalo’s annual celebration of Black History Month, Mayor Byron Brown honored Erie County Legislator Barbara Miller-Williams for her contributions to Buffalo as a member of the United States Army Reserves and the Buffalo Police Department.

Proud to have had the opportunity to welcome Roland S. Martin, journalist, civil rights activist, and thought leader to Buffalo during a celebration of Canisius College’s Afro-American Society’s 50th Anniversary . Mr. Martin has used his platform to raise awareness on issues important to African Americans across our nation, and I have

issued proclamations in his honor at the Erie County Legislature. 

Legislator Miller-Williams Hosts 3rd Annual “Accessing Erie County” Funding Workshop

On Saturday, February 24, 2018, Erie County Legislator Barbara Miller-Williams hosted the 3rd annual ‘Accessing Erie County Funding Workshop’ at the Buffalo and Erie County Central Library. This event enabled non-profit groups and community members to learn the process of applying for Erie County funding.

2018 Summer Primetime Grant Applications - Information Meeting.

The County of Erie, New York (the “County”) and the Erie County Youth Bureau is currently seeking proposals from qualified agencies interested in providing Summer Primetime Programming to at-risk youth ages 5-20 residing in Erie County.

An informational meeting will be held:
