Angola, Eden & Concord libraries to host Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers in July

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills reminds residents that the Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers to benefit Angola, Eden and Concord libraries will be held in July. This is the 10th year he has held these events and has raised more than $59,000 to date.  

 

“Every summer we are extremely busy hosting these great community events. I hope to see you at the Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers supporting our great public libraries,” said Legislator Mills.

 

The Angola Public Library fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 8, at the library, 34 North Main St., Angola The event will feature a bake sale of homemade cookies and brownies and live music by Linda Giancarlo.  The library’s Used Book Sale will run Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m., Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

Next is the Eden Library event, being held from 4:30 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the library, 2901 E. Church St., Eden. Event will feature free cookies and lemonade. Mr. No the Balloon Guy will perform from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. with a magic show and balloon animals.

 

Then on Thursday, July 14, the Concord Public Library will host its fundraiser from 4 to 7 p.m. at the library, 18 Chapel St., Springville. The event will include ­­­a Unyts Blood Drive sponsored by the SG-I football team from 3 to 6 p.m. and a Bake Sale from 4 to 7 p.m. The Blarney Bunch will perform from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Fiddler’s Green Park gazebo. The library’s Book Sale is from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 14, and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, July 15.

 

The final fundraiser of the year is Friday, August 12, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., at the Orchard Park Library, 4570 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park. Additional information will be announced soon.

 

Cost is $1 for a hot dog and water combo and $2 for the Italian sausage and water combo.
