Erie County Legislator Mills announces Collins Library and Boston Free Library Hot Dog Roasts details

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills announces that the annual Collins Public Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at the library, 2341 Main St., Collins. This year’s event will feature Mike Randall & Friends, "Dig Into Reading" program from 11 a.m. to noon, as well as a Friends of the Library Bake and Book Sales from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

 

Also announced, this year’s Boston Free Library’s fundraiser will feature Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics, a wildlife program that showcases amazing exotic mammals and reptiles.

 

The Boston Free Library’s Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser will be held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 14 at the library, 9475 Boston State Road, Boston. Nickel City Reptiles and Exotics’ show will begin at 6 p.m.

 

At both fundraisers, Sahlen’s hot dogs will be sold for $1 and Italian sausage for $2; both meals include a bottle of spring water. The events are held rain or shine.

 

“These are wonderful community fundraisers with great food, people and entertainment. Please plan to stop by and support your local library,” said Legislator Mills.

 

Legislator Mills has been hosting Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers in his district for seven years with more than $30,000 raised. Proceeds from the fundraiser directly benefit the host library, helping to support its mission of supplying quality programming and materials to patrons.
