Legislator Mills to host Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers at Concord & Angola Libraries

Erie County Legislator John J. Mills announces that this year’s Concord Public Library Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at the library, 18 Chapel St. in Springville.

 

This year’s Hawaiian Theme fundraiser includes a “Leftover Book Sale” from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Bake Sale from 4 to 7 p.m.; 50/50 Drawings from 4 to 8 p.m. and Paul Zittel & Pure Country performing from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

 

“Concord’s fundraiser is extremely popular and well attended. It has developed into a great community event with a lot of support for the library. Please plan to stop by and enjoy a hot dog and some great entertainment,” said Legislator Mills.

 

Angola Public Library is also hosting its fundraiser in July. Scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 26 at the library, 34 N. Main St., Angola, the event will feature a bicycle raffle. Tickets are $1 each or $5 for six. The drawing will be held during the Hot Dog Roast Fundraiser.

 

At both fundraisers Sahlen’s hot dogs will be sold for $1 and Italian sausage for $2; both meals include a bottle of spring water. The events are held rain or shine.

 

Additional fundraisers will be held on the following dates:

  • 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 at Orchard Park Public Library
  • 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24 at West Falls – Colden Community Library in partnership with Legislator Joseph Lorigo

 

Legislator Mills has been hosting Hot Dog Roast Fundraisers in his district for seven years with nearly $40,000 raised. Proceeds from the fundraiser directly benefit the host library, helping to support its mission of supplying quality programming and materials to patrons.
